Day 1: Amritsar to Manali
Your journey begins in Amritsar. Our representative will pick you up from your location and drive you to Manali (approx. 430 km / 11 hrs). Enjoy the scenic journey through the Shivalik ranges and the lush green valleys of Himachal. Arrive in Manali by evening. Check into your hotel, enjoy dinner, and rest overnight.
Day 2: Manali to Sarchu via Rohtang & Baralacha Pass
After an early breakfast, depart for Sarchu. Drive through the majestic Rohtang Pass (13,050 ft) and pass through the beautiful towns of Keylong, Jispa, and Darcha. Later, cross the stunning Baralacha Pass (16,020 ft) before arriving at Sarchu by evening. Check into your fixed campsite. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 3: Sarchu to Leh
Today is one of the most scenic drives of the journey. Post breakfast, continue towards Leh, crossing Nakee La and Lachung La (16,617 ft) passes. Stop at Pang for lunch and drive through the striking Skyangchu Thang Plateau (42 km stretch). Cross Tanglang La Pass (17,582 ft), one of the world’s highest motorable passes, before descending into the Indus Valley. Reach Leh by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4: Leh – Rest and Local Sightseeing
After days of high-altitude travel, take the morning to relax and acclimatize. In the afternoon, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and the vibrant local market. Return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 5: Leh to Pangong Lake via Chang La Pass
Post breakfast, drive to the breathtaking Pangong Lake (145 km) situated on the Indo-China border. En route, cross Chang La Pass (17,370 ft), one of the highest motorable roads. Enjoy the stunning colors of the lake changing with the light. Overnight stay in a fixed camp near Spangmik. Dinner will be served at the campsite.
Day 6: Pangong Lake – Hemis & Thiksey Monasteries – Leh
After breakfast, drive back towards Leh. En route, visit the iconic Hemis Monastery, the largest monastery in Ladakh. Later, explore the picturesque Thiksey Monastery and stop at Shey Palace. Reach Leh by evening. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 7: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass
After breakfast, head to Nubra Valley, crossing the legendary Khardung La Pass (18,380 ft), the highest motorable road in the world. En route, soak in views of the snow-covered Himalayas and the Shyok River. Visit Diskit Monastery and explore the sand dunes at Hunder, where you can enjoy an optional double-humped camel ride. Overnight in Nubra (camps or hotel). Dinner included.
Day 8: Nubra Valley to Leh via Khardung La
After breakfast, visit local villages and the beautiful Sumur area. Drive back to Leh via Khardung La. Arrive by late afternoon and enjoy some free time for last-minute shopping or leisure. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.
Day 9: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and transfer to Leh Airport for your onward flight back home with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas.
